    Meeting Information

From 7 May 2021, the law requires all councils to hold formal meetings in person.  The Council will enable all people to continue to participate in meetings via Zoom.

If you want to ask a question or speak, email your full name to Committee@middevon.gov.uk by no later than 4pm on the day before the meeting. This will ensure that your name is on the list to speak and will help us ensure that you are not missed –Notification in this way will also ensure that the meeting runs as smoothly as possible.

The Cabinet is responsible for most of the day to day decisions of the Council which are not delegated to officers. It is made up of the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Members (also known as lead councillors) who have responsibilities for various service areas. The current cabinet are as follows:

    Cllr Barry Warren

    Leader of the Council

    Cabinet Member for Finance

    Cabinet Member for Environment

    Cllr Graeme Barnell

Deputy Leader & Planning and Economic Regeneration

    Cllr Dennis Knowles

Cabinet Member for Community Well Being

    Cllr Ashley Wilce

Cabinet Member for Housing & Property Services

    Cllr Mrs Nikki Woollatt

Cabinet Member for Working Environment & Support Services

    Cllr Mrs Chris Daw

Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Continuous Improvement

The Cabinet develops policies and strategies for approval by Council, exercises overall control of resources within the Council's policies and budget and recommends the level of council tax to the Council. It also considers any matters specifically referred by the Scrutiny Committee. All "key decisions" to be discussed or made are published in the Cabinet's Forward Plan in so far as they can be anticipated.
